Biography

Herbie joined the firm’s real estate team in October, 2022 as a paralegal in the firm’s Real Estate Division. Herbie has worked in the legal field for over 34 years and has been focusing on real estate closings for the last 30 years.

Herbie began his legal career in product liability litigation but moved into Real Estate Law in 1993 as a Residential Paralegal focusing on all phases of the closing process, pre-closing, closing and post-closing. He moved on to commercial real estate as a pre-closer, closer and post closer.

Herbie grew up in Jacksonville, Florida with heavy connections to his family in Louisiana. He attended and graduated from West Georgia College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Herbie spent his post college years working in various regional theaters and traveling tours as a dancer, actor, choreographer, and technical director. He retired from theater and attended The Center for Legal Technology in Milwaukee, WI where he graduated with a Paralegal Certificate. He moved back to Atlanta in 1992 and has been working in real estate law since returning.

Herbie was past President of his South Atlanta Neighborhood Development and was one of the founders of his Neighborhood Watch in Ormewood Park.

In his spare time, Herbie enjoys spending time with his husband and two adult sons, traveling, attending concerts, and live theater.
