Biography
Cooper Branham is an Associate Attorney at Briskin, Cross & Sanford, LLC, where he represents businesses and individuals in both litigation and transactional matters. His practice includes employment and contract disputes, partnership and ownership conflicts, and landlord-tenant litigation, as well as business formation, corporate governance, contract drafting, and real estate transactions. Cooper provides practical and strategic counsel at every stage of representation, helping clients resolve disputes and structure their business relationships for long-term success.
In his litigation practice, Cooper assists clients through all phases of dispute resolution—from prelitigation strategy and discovery to motion practice and trial preparation. On the transactional side, he advises clients on entity formation, operating and shareholder agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and employment contracts, including restrictive covenants. His dual focus gives him a comprehensive understanding of how to anticipate and mitigate business risk from both a preventative and litigation perspective.
Cooper earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was active in leadership and advocacy. He served as a Student Ambassador, Founder and President of the Environmental Law Society, and member of both the Moot Court Team and the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. He also contributed to international legal initiatives through research with the Rule of Law Collaborative.
He received his B.S. in Genetics, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Clemson University, where he consistently earned placement on the President’s and Dean’s Lists.
Outside of the office, Cooper enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their dog and two cats. An avid sports fan, he follows all things Cleveland and Clemson, and enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, basketball, and reading science fiction.
