Biography
Michael Jacobs is a Partner at Briskin, Cross & Sanford, LLC, where he represents business owners, developers, investors, and financial institutions in a wide range of real estate and corporate matters. With more than three decades of experience, Michael is known for his practical, client-centered approach—helping clients make informed, strategic decisions while maintaining efficiency, clarity, and peace of mind.
Michael’s practice includes commercial and residential real estate, banking and finance, business and corporate law, construction and development, and contract negotiation. He regularly advises clients on acquisitions, sales, lending, leasing, contracts and entity formation, as well as the purchase and sale of businesses and assets. His clients include property owners, financial institutions, gas station and convenience store owners and operators, real estate brokers, as well as other domestic and international investors.
Before joining Briskin, Cross & Sanford, Michael served as General Counsel for a financial institution and as a partner at a full-service law firm, where he advised clients on commercial lending, commercial and residential real estate matters, and corporate transactions. This dual perspective—as both advisor and in-house counsel—allows him to anticipate issues and deliver solutions that align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from Emory University. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Alpharetta Bar Association, and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
Guided by his belief in simplifying the legal process and protecting clients’ interests, Michael approaches each engagement with responsiveness, diligence, and genuine care. Outside the office, he enjoys sports, hiking, personal fitness, pickleball, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
